ODT MIA?

I know what you’re all thinking… What on earth are The Outdoor Types up to these days? No gigs on the horizon, no releases since It Is The Mercy (still available from www.iblametheparentsrecords.com) and nothing happening on the blog. What are these guys doing? Swanning it up in The Bahamas with all their rock star pals no doubt.

Au contraire my cynical chums, The Outdoor Types have in fact been working hard crafting a wagonload of brand new tunes for your delectation. To that end we have recruited a new member! Ms Caroline Humphries will be filling the role of saxophonist from here on out and, frankly, I can’t wait for you guys to hear the new tunes cos they’re sounding pretty awesome.

But that’s not all! I’m also delighted to announce that we will soon be releasing an EP made up of recordings from all over the career of the ODT some from as far back as 2005. No sub-standard rejects here though, they’re all top quality. It should be winging it’s way to you guys in early November.

I’m also going to be making a concerted effort to keep this blog a lot more up to date with a regular post from Luke, Richie, Caz or myself every Thursday. So there you go, call off the search party: The Outdoor Types are alive and well and preparing to unleash a whole new batch of awesomeness on an unsuspecting world.
